HIV/AIDS in Target Area
Though the general trend in new AIDS cases is down, in 1995 for the first time, the number of
reported new AIDS cases included equal proportions of African Americans and Caucasians. In the
following year, African Americans represented 41% of newly reported cases, Caucasians 38%.
